Each group includes two participant types: <strong>Group Leaders<\/strong>, who manage and oversee the group, and <strong>Group Users<\/strong>, who are learners enrolled in the group and its assigned courses. This structure allows course administrators to delegate management tasks without granting full administrative access.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-what-is-a-group-leader\">What Is a Group Leader?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>A <strong>Group Leader<\/strong> is a special LearnDash user role designed to help manage groups without requiring full WordPress administrator privileges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By default, Group Leaders can:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>View course progress reports for Group Users<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>View quiz and assignment performance<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Send email messages to all users in a group<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Create and manage groups and group users<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>For additional customization options, see <strong>Group Leader Settings<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-creating-a-group-leader\">Creating a Group Leader<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Before a user can be assigned to manage a group, the <strong>Group Leader<\/strong> role must be applied to their WordPress account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To assign the Group Leader role:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Navigate to <strong>Users > All Users<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select the checkbox next to one or more users<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Choose <strong>Group Leader<\/strong> from the <strong>Change Role To<\/strong> dropdown<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select <strong>Change<\/strong> to apply the role<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Once assigned, the user becomes available in the <strong>Group Leaders<\/strong> list when creating or editing groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-assigning-group-leaders-to-a-group\">Assigning Group Leaders to a Group<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Each group must have at least one Group Leader. There is no maximum limit, and a single Group Leader can manage multiple groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To assign Group Leaders:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Open the <strong>Edit Group<\/strong> page<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Scroll to the <strong>Group Leaders<\/strong> section<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select one or more users from the available list\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Hold <strong>CTRL<\/strong> (Windows) or <strong>CMD<\/strong> (Mac) to select multiple users<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use the right arrow to move users to <strong>Assigned Group Leaders<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Group Leaders can be reassigned or removed at any time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-group-users\">Group Users<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-assigning-group-users\">Assigning Group Users<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Any WordPress user, regardless of role, can be added as a Group User.
