This feature does not work with the Legacy template.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Focus Mode aims to eliminate distractions and streamline your user&#8217;s learning experience &#8211; increasing learning retention and completion rates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-where-it-s-applied\">Where It&#8217;s Applied<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Focus Mode is applied to the following types of LearnDash pages:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/learndash.com\/support\/docs\/core\/lessons\/\">Lessons<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/learndash.com\/support\/docs\/core\/topics\/\">Topics<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/learndash.com\/support\/docs\/core\/quizzes\/\">Quizzes<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/learndash.com\/support\/docs\/core\/assignments\/\">Assignments<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Your <a href=\"https:\/\/learndash.com\/support\/docs\/core\/courses\/course-page\/\">Course page<\/a> will not change. It will continue to use the layout that you have chosen for your WordPress theme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-what-it-does\">What It Does<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>When you enable Focus Mode, here is what will change on your site:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Focus Mode is applied on all screen sizes (desktop, tablet and mobile)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Main navigation and footer elements are removed from the page<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Any sidebars, if present, are also removed from the page<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Course navigation is always visible in a sidebar tray<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Course progress is always visible at the top of the screen<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Next\/Previous lesson and topic navigation is always available at the top of the screen<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mark Complete button is always visible at the top of the screen<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>User&#8217;s avatar is shown in the top navigation, along with Course Home and Logout id=\"h-enable-focus-mode\">Enable Focus Mode<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>There are three important steps in order to enable focus mode:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You must be using LearnDash 3.0 or higher<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You must be using the LearnDash 3.0 template<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You need to enable the Enable Focus Mode option in the <a href=\"https:\/\/learndash.com\/support\/docs\/core\/settings\/general-settings\/\">LearnDash General Settings<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter Focus Mode is enabled you have the option to specify the width of the content container. This refers to the width of the actual lesson content and not the width of Focus Mode itself, which will still take up the full screen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The options include:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Default (960px) &#8211;<em>Recommended<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Narrow (768px)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Wide (1180px)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Extra-wide (1600px)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Full-width<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-focus-mode-sidebar-position\">Focus Mode Sidebar Position<\/h3>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1340\" height=\"98\" src=\"https:\/\/learndash.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/learndash-focus-mode-sidebar-position.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4511\" srcset=\"https:\/\/learndash.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/learndash-focus-mode-sidebar-position.png 1340w, https:\/\/learndash.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/learndash-focus-mode-sidebar-position-400x29.png 400w, https:\/\/learndash.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/learndash-focus-mode-sidebar-position-800x59.png 800w, https:\/\/learndash.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/learndash-focus-mode-sidebar-position-768x56.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1340px) 100vw, 1340px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>Introduced in version 4.1.0, you can choose to have the sidebar in Focus Mode set to either the left or right side of the screen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-upload-a-logo\">Upload a Logo<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>While not required, we recommend uploading a logo to use with Focus Mode. This logo will appear in the top-corner of all lesson, topic and quiz pages when focus mode is enabled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To upload a logo:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Navigate to LearnDash LMS &gt; Settings<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the Design and Content Elements section, look for<strong> <\/strong>Logo Upload<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click the Select Image button<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Choose an image from your Media Library, or upload a new one<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click Use This Image at the bottom<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be sure to save your changes<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>You can remove your image by clicking the <code>X<\/code>, or upload a new one by repeating the steps above.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1494\" height=\"790\" src=\"https:\/\/learndash.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/learndash-upload-logo-in-focus-mode.jpg\" alt=\"Logo used in focus mode\" class=\"wp-image-1760\" srcset=\"https:\/\/learndash.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/learndash-upload-logo-in-focus-mode.jpg 1494w, https:\/\/learndash.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/learndash-upload-logo-in-focus-mode-400x212.jpg 400w, https:\/\/learndash.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/learndash-upload-logo-in-focus-mode-768x406.jpg 768w, https:\/\/learndash.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/learndash-upload-logo-in-focus-mode-800x423.jpg 800w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1494px) 100vw, 1494px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-focus-mode-menu\">Focus Mode Menu<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>At the top-right of Focus Mode there is a custom menu that appears when hovering over the profile image (<strong>NOTE:<\/strong> the image that is displayed is taken from <a href=\"https:\/\/en.gravatar.com\/\">Gravatar<\/a>). Any menu item that you add to the Focus Mode Menu will display between the default Course Home and Logout menu options. You can use <a href=\"https:\/\/developers.learndash.com\/snippet\/change-focus-mode-course-home-menu-link-url\/\">these filters<\/a> for modifying the Focus Mode logo URL.<\/p> <\/div> <div class=\"schema-faq-section\" id=\"faq-question-1734525479061\"><strong class=\"schema-faq-question\">How do I enable comments for Focus Mode?<\/strong> <p class=\"schema-faq-answer\">If you want WordPress comments to be visible in LearnDash Focus Mode, then you can enable them by following these steps:<br\/>1. Navigate to LEARNDASH LMS > COURSES > SETTINGS<br\/>2. Scroll down until you come to the <strong>Course Custom Post Type<\/strong> settings<br\/>3.
