When content is set to private whether through memberships, course enrollment, or access groups, it\u2019s important to clearly communicate why access is restricted and what the member should do next.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This guide walks you through configuring the Default Restricted Message that appears when members encounter locked content inside your Learndash App. You\u2019ll learn how to customize the title, message, button behavior, and teaser preview to keep the user experience smooth and on-brand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Configuring the Default Restricted Message<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

  1. In your WordPress Dashboard, go to Learndash App > Settings > Access Controls > General<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n

      <\/strong> A:<\/strong> Yes. Go to that Access Rule and enable Custom restricted message<\/strong> to override the default.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Q: Teaser previews aren\u2019t displaying.<\/strong>
      <\/strong> A:<\/strong> Ensure Show Teaser<\/strong> is enabled in your Default Message settings and that it hasn\u2019t been disabled in the specific Access Rule.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
